Last night, while optimizing a table on mysql which is running from the /data partition the / partition ran out of space

While trying to repair a table the system just ran out of / disk space again

This host is being used to effect some repairs to indicies which are a likely root cause of bug 1119447 and bug 1119822

updating from #data converstaion
 - cause of / fillup determined to be the repair process
 - repair process running using larger disk partition now
 - that will take "a while"

Note that I believe this machine is not in the load balancer so the effect is that the production machine is a bit more loaded.

Closing as this is due to mysql using /tmp but deleting the files and not giving up the file handles. I was able to complete the optimize/repair work by pointing mysql tmpdir to /data/tmp
