This NYT article uses a webgl graphic:

It briefly appears, but then the webgl layer just seems to disappear leaving only the text overlay.

Actually, the same behavior occurs in FF 34 release.  Maybe this is just a web compat issue.

Looking at the page in chrome shows its supposed to rotate the image as you scroll down and mouse over the page.

It also works in IE 11.

Works for me in FF aurora 36.0a2 (2015-01-05) on OS X. Might be a windows-specific problem? CC'ing jgilbert as "webgl guy".
