As we have been working on our MVP for screen-sharing in Firefox Hello (Bug 1079489) one comment we have received is that we need to make screens-sharing more discoverable in order to increase usage of the feature.

This bug is to house the UX work to determine ways of calling attention to screen-sharing.

I like the visual although not sure about the text.
"screen share the content of your active tabs with the conversation"

Maybe we can change this to "share other applications or the content of your active tabs in the conversation" ?

Definitely need a string review. I think active tabs should come first before other applications, but I'm not sure "active tabs" is well-understood by most users.

Matej, could you help us out. We're want to drop a doorhanger to call attention to the new Screen Share icon in our conversation window. What would you suggest, text-wise?

I don't think we have to be too specific about what it is they'll be sharing. The idea of screen sharing isn't new, so we don't have to sell that, but we do want to let people know that it's now available in Hello:

New: Share your screen
Now you can share Web pages and other applications in your conversations.

I wonder if there's some kind of visual hook we can create for new features that we can reuse any time we introduce something to Hello.

Would love to kill the exclamation mark if we can. 

The line breaks are a little odd as well. Can the door hanger be resized so the "and" bumps to the next line?
