[2.Testing Steps]: 
1.Open dialer.
2.Input a phone number (123456789).
3.Move the cursor by tapping 5.
4.Tap delete icon.

[3.Expected Result]: 
4.Cursor is in front of the 5 and delete 4.

[4.Actual Result]: 
4.The cursor will return to the end of the phone number and delete last number.

I think the backspace button is designed for deleting last character.
The cursor you were using is designed for test selection.
