We currently have a KVM with 1 core CPU, 1 GB RAM, and 60GB of HDD Space.

We have ~1GB of Rx and ~1.5GB of Tx traffic daily.

Comments:
Our current hosting provider, OpenFoundry of Academia Sinica, is going to discontinue the hosting services for OSS projects later this year, so we're looking for hosting possibilities from MCS.
We would need first to have moztw.org domains also transfered to Mozilla.

:tad, any ideas/guidance on this one?

This OK to go, but first domains have to be transferred to mozilla.

@Nukeador, According to discussion on discourse, domain transferring is not definitely requirement, but pointing nameserver is also acceptable, how do you think?

As I explained on discourse, domain transfer is still a requirement from the Council review side.

removing needinfo.

needinfo me when you decide on a plan of action for your domain

We're not going to transfer the domain, so marking this bug as RESOLVED WONTFIX.

Ruben,

You suggested you didn't think council would approve but council most recently signed off on hosting email for fantheflames.org owned by a community member not Mozilla's. It seems like your statement is something you arbitrarily came up with versus an actual policy or requirement.

If Taiwan can't ask for a hosted service without giving their domain up to Mozilla then why did we provide a hosted service for fantheflames.org.

Benjamin, let me check that bug since I thought that the domain was on mozilla's hand.

Council does not have authority to set a domain owned by Mozilla requirement. The only screening power council has it to ensure the requester is a Mozillian and the request is for a valid community purpose. All of these requirements are met.

:tad since these requirements have been satisfied can you proceed with arranging hosting for MozTW!

Benjamin, please stop changing this bug as if you have the ultimate decision on it.

Community IT resources requests are approved by Reps Council, and Reps Council is the only one who can give a go or no-go.

If you disagree with the decision you can write the Council or chime in the already opened discussion:

https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/t/community-hosting-require-domain-ownership-transfering-to-mozilla/1448/2

We will follow up with MozTW community to talk about this.

Thanks.
