RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1108971

People

(Reporter: rostislav-gashin, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/39.0.2171.99 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

This problem could be solved by writing the full domain name of the proxy server (proxy.test.local).

Actual results:

A problem with user authentication on HTTP-proxy has been found in Mozilla Firefox 35 browser.
Mozilla can’t resolve short domain name of HTTP-proxy (eg, proxy) while the window of user authentication appears constantly.
And the other browsers (Google Chrome, Opera, IE) resolve server’s short domain name (proxy) and authenticate users easily.

Expected results:

Mozilla should have resolved the short server's domain name.
