From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:0.9.6+) Gecko/20011127
BuildID:    2001112708

Upon downloading and launching the latest nightly build id 2001112708 the
installed plugins are not recognized by the browser.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to Help->About plugins
2. No plugins are listed.
3. Go to apple.com/quicktime and Apple's site reports Quicktime is not properly
installed.

Actual Results: The plugins are not recognized by Mozilla.

Expected Results: The plugins should be regonized by Mozilla.

The Javascript Console reported:

"Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code:
0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIDOMPlugin.name]"  nsresult: "0x80004005
(NS_ERROR_FAILURE)"  location: "JS frame ::
jar:resource:///chrome/toolkit.jar!/content/global/plugins.html :: <TOP_LEVEL>
:: line 95"  data: no]"

Yesterdays nightly (11/26/01) worked fine with my plugins. Tonight's build
(2001112708) from 11/27/01 cannot recognize my plugins.

I reported this bug. I do not believe this bug is a complete duplicate of the
bug 112097 "problem with about:plugins". The bug I reported is not simply the
problem with about:plugins. The bug I reported also concerned the failure of all
plugins on the Mac. When I visit www.apple.com/quicktime the Apple quicktime
site displays a message on the far right hand side in a grey rectangle stating
that the Quicktime plugin is not properly installed.

None of my installed plugins appear to be working. I cannot use the Quicktime
plug-in since it is not detected as installed. This is why I believe this bug is
not a dup of bug 112097.
