Initially add-on will have external dependencies & xul, as at the moment it is tightly coupled with rest of the devtools foundation, although long term strategy is to reduce those dependencies (ideally to 0) and move to html instead. (This will leverage foundation build under item 1.).

I've got a couple of questions here:

* what are your plans for the existing tests?
* what is the plan for migrating code from hg -> git and vice versa?

For now my plan is to bare minimum, which is allow cloning a repo from github, which could be installed as add-on, which in turn will replace built-in web-console with one that was just installed.

So no changes to tests or live hg->git mirroring. In long term I'd like to get to those to, but for now I'm trying to keep scope of this small.
