User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0 Build ID: 20150112203352 Steps to reproduce: 1. Set "Français" (French) as UI main language in Settings/Language 2. Add "Français" and "Espanol" (spanish) keyboards + disable English keyboard in Settings/Keyboards 3. Open SMS app (for example) and start a new message + Check for IME 4. Change IME for "Fr" 5. Reboot the phone, Open again SMS app and start a new message + Check for IME 6. Add "Polski" and disable "Espanol" (spanish) keyboards in Settings/Keyboards 7. Open SMS app and start a new message + Check for IME 8. Change IME for "Pl" 9. Reboot, Open SMS app and start a new message + Check for IME Actual results: In Keyboard settings, as alphabetical order of the locale is farther in the alphabet than the first IME, the first IME is used as default at power-in instead of locale-IME. Currently Gaia::Keyboard remember the last keyboard used since last power-in. But not after reboot. Expected results: There could be different UX solutions (cumulative or not) : - The default power-in IME should be the same as the locale - Remebering IME after reboot - Ability to order (classifying) keyboards in settings

If this is confirmed, Should it be added to the ux-most-wanted list and/or fxos-papercuts ?

I think this is a papercut, as long as the behavior stays the same within the same power cycle. That being said, re-ordering keyboards is something we can look into after making sure the behavior stays the same after power cycling. For this bug I think we should address the default IME in each situation, and move the keyboard re-ordering to a separate story.
