>>Project/Request Title:
GDC 2015: Booth Tower Design

>>Project Overview:
GDC is annually the authoritative game developer/creator/producer industry event. This is a critical stage for Mozilla to be showcasing our achievements and reaching developers and partners.

The tower of the booth is going to be the largest aspect of the booth, and will serve both a practical (storage) and branding purpose.

For more details, please refer to the Creative Brief: http://bit.ly/156Uy4E

>> Creative Help Needed:
Copy: No
Design: Yes
Video: No
Other: No

>>Creative Specs:
The tower is a 12' high, 4-walled structure in the center of the booth, made out of hardwall material and covered with fabric. We are responsible for the designs to be printed on each of the 4 panels of fabric.

For size, bleed, trim, and other graphic instructions/details, please see the vendor's document here: http://bit.ly/14RfQ7f

Deliverable format is AI, EPS, or INDO. Additional deliverable format details: http://bit.ly/15arER2

>>CTA and Design:
- We will be leading with Firefox, as all the demos we will be showing will fall under the Firefox umbrella.
- Booth mockup designs from our vendor: http://bit.ly/1CcK4hH
- All artwork on these designs are placeholders only and can be switched out with whatever we like.
- This show is entirely for game developers, and many of the booths have a very intense feel to them. Our booth's design has a flowing, open feel, with some initial color advising from Sean (orange hanging sign above, charcoal sign interior, charcoal carpet) that will help us stand out. We also have prime placement near the entrance to the show floor, close to our partners, and neighboring Facebook, so we are expecting lots of foot traffic and high visibility.

I believe Sean had some ideas for the wall panels already, retaining the blueprint fox as the show is geared toward developers.

- We will be creating a landing page for attendees to visit during and after the show, and an associated mzl.la link, perhaps this could be showcased somewhere on the panels?

Hi Sean,

Sorry you couldn't make the kickoff yesterday. I've referenced the design details we've thus far from the vendor already up in the main body of the request, let me know if you have any questions. Some additional info - the tower wall panels are 5’ x 11.5’ on 4 sides with door access on one side.

This bug request is for the tower of the booth only. Would you prefer I submit a separate bug for the other (more straightforward) elements of the booth as well (3 kiosks + 1 hanging sign), or should I include that info here?

Thanks!

Note: Bug 1107589 is the "metabug" we have to track all GDC related bugs. Please do not consider as a blocker.
As per phone call today with Sean, Martin, and Sandra - t-shirt design (ref: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1124054) may be a combination of the designs from the booth tower.

Additional booth element: (3) double-sided demo kiosks
(adding here instead of filing a separate bug since there is minimal consultation and design needed)

Each kiosk is made of (1) central 8' wall with (2) demo cabinets on either side of it. The wall will have a 47" flat screen panel tv mounted above the demo cabinets for demo purposes. There is a blue glowing aspect to each cabinet.

Needed: color and logo direction for each side of the (6) total demo areas at the kiosks.

Breakdown of which kiosk will be showing which Mozilla product here: http://bit.ly/15bERZS

Robyn, I can't access the first link within Creative Specs. Could you repost? Thanks!
Hi Sean - sorry about that! I've opened that and the rest of the GDC 2015 Creative folder to you.
Hey all,

Here's the panels thus far:

For the tshirt, I'm going to use the fox, dino and tail to create a triptych in the form of a shield.

More to come tomorrow.
Looks amazing, Sean. I'm gonna want one of those shirts.

CCing Erin as these graphics may also inform the look of the landing page.
Looks awesome Sean! Will we be able to deliver assets on the 30th (tomorrow) to the booth vendor? They'll need to send these panels to print.

Hi Barry, can you take a look at these assets and provide feedback, please? Thanks!

Yep! They're ready to send if all are ok with them.

Looks awesome, thanks guys.

Quick bit of feedback.

Sean, what do you think about making the tower panels all the same blue instead of the red/varying colors? Seems to me it would work better on a trade show floor.

Thanks for considering.
My feedback is that I love the images, love the concept.

Not loving the color choices specifically the pink and yellow.

Same thoughts on the t-shirt.

Martin

Talk it over with Shawn. I'm now good. Do we need any text on the shirt?
Whoops sorry, ment to say that the issue I was actually having is that the old art for the stands and what not where not working with the center pillar. Shawn was going to look at it. All else is good.
Hey all,

Final EPS artwork for each of the panels for the central tower, each labelled with their specific elevation name as per the details doc, can be found here:
people.mozilla.org/~smartell/GDC/2015/mozilla-gdc2015_tower-panels.zip

The light blue color for the exterior pods is "Firefox light blue" found here:
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/styleguide/identity/firefox/color/

Enjoy!
Closing this out as vendor has the files and it is in production.
