(By the way, I tried to use the web form as recommended, but when I try to submit it I get "There is no component named 'WebOps: Request' in the 'Infrastructure & Operations' product. ")

I am working with Callek to get access to Thunderbird usage data that I, as a member and current Chair of the Thunderbird Council, need to help lead the project. Specifically, we need ADI data in summarized form Thunderbird to allow us to effectively lead the project. SeaMonkey has similar access, and my understanding is that similar access is in the works for Thunderbird.

Following links from Callek, specifically https://dataviz.mozilla.org/t/public/workbooks/SeamonkeyADI?project=21 leads me after several steps to a webpage with the following text:

"Sorry, it looks like you're not in the "tableau_users" LDAP group needed to access Tableau. Please submit a bug under "Server Operations: Account Requests: to be added to this group. You are going to be logged in as a guest now but please do not forget to put in a bug requesting your own access.

So I am requesting that access for the LDAP account of kent@caspia.com

For bug history purposes, that "Thunderbird Usage" was what sheeri pointed me to as Bug 970636

But yes, Kent should be welcome to see the SeaMonkey report I linked him to.
Sheeri can you approve ?

I tried this and it is not working. That is, I start from the url in comment 0 and go through the various screens that are requested. Eventually I get to this url:

https://tableau-portal.mozilla.org/index.php?destination=%2F

and I have the same error message, "Sorry, it looks like you're not in the "tableau_users" LDAP group needed to access Tableau. Please submit a bug under "Server Operations: Account Requests: to be added to this group.
You are going to be logged in as a guest now but please do not forget to put in a bug requesting your own access."

We fixed a bug/feature this morning that prevented anyone that didn't have an address @mozilla.com/net/org or @mozilla-japan from logging in. I also added him as a user within Tableau, and gave him permissions for the "public" workbooks, so he should be able to see them.

Since this is fixed, Kent, can you try again?

Still fails, though the behavior is different. As before, linking on the URL in comment 0 I get an initial login page "Enter your Mozilla Analytics Server username and password to sign in. " When I enter my mozilla LDAP username and password there, it then takes me to another prompt, this time appearing to be a browser-generated prompt rather than an FBA form, that says "Authentication Required" and "A username and password are being requested by https://tableau-portal.mozilla.org. The site says: "Mozilla Corporation - LDAP Login"

The difference is that, previously, my login succeeded at this point, but I got to the page with the message "Sorry, it looks like you're not in the "tableau_users" LDAP group needed to access Tableau. Please submit a bug under "Server Operations: Account Requests: to be added to this group. You are going to be logged in as a guest now but please do not forget to put in a bug requesting your own access." Now, the browser-generated popup window login always fails to authenticate and continually reappears until cancelled.. I even tried resetting my mozilla LDAP password at https://passwordreset.mozilla.org/ and still I cannot get past the login screen.
OK, so.....You will need to follow the instructions for:

you're not in the "tableau_users" LDAP group needed to access Tableau. Please submit a bug under "Server Operations: Account Requests: to be added to this group.

Once that's approved you should be able to login.
I just double-checked LDAP and kent@caspia.com *is* in that group. We just changed our existing hacky PHP script for LDAP sign-on, to true SSO.

Can you try logging in again, at https://dataviz.mozilla.org ? If there's a problem, try going to https://mozilla.okta.com and clicking the "tableau" icon.

(You won't need to make that bug, I apologize).
I tried the login, and yes it works. Thanks! I selected "Public" when given the option of "Public" and "Default", now I can see that there are a few SeaMonkey reports there. They don't seem to work, but my understanding is that they are currently broken, will get fixed eventually, and when they do hopefully Thunderbird will be added at the same time (which is what I am really interested in).

It is also my understanding that I really don't have the ability yet to see any Thunderbird data. Or do I?
Your understanding is completely correct, except that I don't know if Thunderbird will be added in at the same time as SeaMonkey is fixed. It depends on if Thunderbird and SeaMonkey data are aligned - in some of these types of cases, we have found that it's a matter of changing a filter to allow both "seamonkey" and "thunderbird" and in other cases we need to query an entirely different data source.

I'm going to mark this bug resolved because you have access to the graphs. The fact that the seamonkey graphs are broken is covered in bug 1124389, and bug 970636 covers the Thunderbird graphs request. Additionally, bug 1037797 is the request to fix the Thunderbird nightly report that used to be e-mailed, the graphs are at https://dataviz.mozilla.org/workbooks/ThunderbirdEmailReport - you are cc'd on all these bugs now.

I've been told that https://dataviz.mozilla.org/t/public/workbooks/AuroraLocalizations?project=21 has only seamonkey data, not sure if those graphs are of any use to you.
