After going over the logs provided in bug 1124664 we identified some additional channels that could use redirects to aus4. Specifically, anything that matches the following should be redirected (the lack of trailing slash is important for the last three): /nightly/ /aurora/ /beta-cck /release-cck /esr-cck Over the 6 hour period of logs we had about 1.25 million requests to aus3 across these channels, so I expect it will cause a bit of a bump in load, but nothing aus4 shouldn't be able to handle (unless bug 1125159 would be an issue). We're still trying to get to the bottom of one more thing from these logs, but the release-cck urls represent normal users running our partner builds, so we should get them in sync with non-partner build users pretty soon.
Is it OK to defer this work to Monday or should I petition the Powers That Be (tm) to make the change in production today?
(In reply to C. Liang [:cyliang] from comment #1) > Is it OK to defer this work to Monday or should I petition the Powers That > Be (tm) to make the change in production today? Let's wait until Monday...I'm not going to be around much longer in case something goes wrong.

(In reply to C. Liang [:cyliang] from comment #3) > New redirects added at 6:15 PM UTC, 10:15 AM Pacific. I think the cck ones were added incorrectly. https://aus3.mozilla.org/update/3/Firefox/14.0.1/20120713134347/Darwin_x86_64-gcc3-u-i386-x86_64/en-US/release-cck-yandexportals/Darwin%2010/default/default/update.xml?force=1 is still sending me to pp-app-dist*. Note that there's no trailing / on these (unlike all of the other channels) because there are hundreds of different things that could come after cck.
My bad on the *-cck ones. =\ Rules updated at 7:45 PM UTC, 11:45 AM Pacific.
No worries, looking good now!
