User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0 Build ID: 20150108202552 Steps to reproduce: I am filing two different bugs because of issues with E-mail Alerts from Mozilla Support. Good day, all. I have a very strange problem with alert e-mails from Mozilla Support. At the bottom of the message is the 'Post Reply' button. I press the button, and the page opens. But while the page looks normal, it does not work properly. When I press the 'More System Details' button, the 'Common Responses' button, or the 'Post A Reply / Quote' button, the web page re-loads. I wish to point out, this only happens if the support page is opened using the link in the e-mail alert. When the same page is opened any other way, there is no problem. I first asked about the issue here: I have come across a very strange problem https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/support-forum-contributors/710927 Actual results: I started doing some testing, and discovered that the web-links are not working, or displaying normally. Here is what I found. Web=normal link. E-Mail=Page opened using E-Mail link. Real web page address: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1041803?page=2#answer-680681 E-Mail: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1041803?utm_campaign=questions-reply&utm_source=notification&utm_medium=email&page=2 On the bad web page, these links cause the page to reload; More System Details button: Web=https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1041803?page=2#more-system-details E-Mail=https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1041803?utm_campaign=questions-reply&utm_source=notification&utm_medium=email&page=2#more-system-details Post A Reply / Quote button: Web=https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1041803?page=1#question-reply E-Mail=https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1041803?utm_campaign=questions-reply&utm_source=notification&utm_medium=email&page=2#question-reply Common Responses button: Web=https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1041803?page=2# E-Mail=https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1041803?utm_campaign=questions-reply&utm_source=notification&utm_medium=email&page=2# I have not heard of anyone else with this problem.
i have never had such issues - can you try some normal troubleshooting steps first like seeing if the issue reproduces when you launch firefox in safemode or the other recommendations from https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/websites-look-wrong-or-appear-differently
Flags: needinfo?(FredMcD)
When I go to the support pages any other way, everything is normal. But when I use the link in the alert sent by Mozilla, see above.

This clip will show you what I am talking about.
when you cannot test the issue in safemode since the program has to be called from an external application then try to disable all addons for testing purposes once (since your browser looks heavily customized)
I started testing using the test profile I have. Only a few add-ons were active. It worked. So I continued on. And I found the cause. It was Clean Links https://github.com/diegocr/CleanLinks I look at it's settings. One of them is Skip Domains. I added mozilla.org to it, No good. So I added support.mozilla.org and now it works properly. I would urge users be told of this. I am thinking something about the e-mail caused the links to get Clean Links attention. I also have Redirect Cleaner, but it looks okay. Thanks for the help, gang.
ok, closing this report as "worksforme" then...
