Build: 2001112603 Win2K Symptoms: 1)When typing hebrew text in composer and then pressing the space bar - the space is placed before the text typed (as if it was english text), only upon entering another hebrew letter is the space magically transported to its rightful place. 2)When typing any other punctuation mark, it is placed at the right of the entered text (its impossible to type a hebrew sentence ending in a question mark without typing another hebrew character after the question mark!). Expected behaviour: When entering a "direction-neutral character" (such as space, or punctuation), its placement should be determined by the last character typed. This bug poses severe difficulties to users wanting to type hebrew in composer. Again: its impossible to type a hebrew sentence with a question mark properly placed at the end.
Have you set the dir attribute to rtl? The easiest way to do this at the moment is: go into the Show All Tags view double click on BODY type dir in the Attribute text box type rtl in the Value text box Press OK This sets the dir attribute for the whole document. You can set it for an individual paragraph or other element by a similar procedure: just double click on the relevant P tag instead of BODY. Bug 96057 requests an easier way to do this.
This indeed fixes the behaviour, Life'll be easier when 96057 is implemented, though ;)
