After logging into expensify.com I get the crash constantly.
Disabling LastPass avoids the issue.
Why does my Gecko date looks like 2010?
Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0

It always does. Can you get crash report IDs via about:crashes, please? Does it not crash if you turn off e10s?

I will do so tonight as I dual boot into Linux. I use Windows outside of work.
For the record, this does not happen on Ubuntu 14.0.4 LTS.
> Does it not crash if you turn off e10s?
It crashes with and without.

I can confirm this is happening on Ubuntu 14.04. It happens every time I visit a site that LastPass attempts to auto-login into.

My apologies for the delay!

For the record, I don't have auto login for expensify.

Has it crashed in the last couple of days? That’s the same signature for the crash in bug #1125734 that has been patched.

I had not needed to sign in to expensify.
I will try tonight from my Windows machine (where I had the issue).
I signed in on Ubuntu with e10s enabled and LP filling the fields and it worked.
The only issue I saw is that for 5-8 seconds my browser froze (the colors go away and can't do any interaction) and came back.

Disabling LastPass fixes this other issue. It was very bad as every page would freeze the browser.
Anyone from LastPass in here that could investigate this issue?

Fixed here, too. The segfaults are gone and auto-login works again on Ubuntu nightly w/ Build ID 20150204150446.

This problem has returned in nightly. Logging in to expensify.com with the LastPass plugin enabled causes the browser to hang. This happens even if the add-on is enabled but not signed in.
expensify.com works perfectly in nightly if I disable the LastPass add-on.
expensify.com works perfectly in stable with the LastPass add-on enabled.

Can either of you provide links from about:crashes corresponding to these crashes? Could you look for a regression window using mozregression? ( https://mozilla.github.io/mozregression/ )
46 has just gone to beta, so we're not very long away from shipping this on release, assuming it reproduces in non-e10s as well.

It's not crashing for me, but becoming unresponsive. I've confirmed good/bad builds with relatively simple steps to reproduce using mozregression, so I should have a regression range shortly.
Comment 16•10 years ago

I had an issue with mozregression which meant that I had to manually reduce the range on the command line, but here's what it found:
$ mozregression --repo mozilla-aurora -g 20150809004008 -b 20150810122908

I suspect I'd get a better result testing on nightly, so I'll give that a go now.

I had to go back quite far to find a good Nightly build:
21:49.90 INFO: Got as far as we can go bisecting nightlies...
21:49.90 INFO: Last good revision: 2114ef80f6ae (2014-11-06)

21:49.90 INFO: Pushlog: https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?fromchange=2114ef80f6ae&tochange=b62ccf3228ba
From this my guess would be bug 1093691.
I then checked with build 20150204150446 as this was mentioned in comment 11 as working, but it does not work for me.
Here are my steps to reproduce:
1. Launch Firefox with a clean profile
2. Open Add-ons Manager
3. Search for 'LastPass'
4. Install 'LastPass Password Manager 3.3.1'
5. Restart Firefox
6. Dismiss the sign up prompt for LastPass
7. Open https://expensify.com
8. Log in
Expected:
You are logged into LastPass
Actual:
Firefox hangs and becomes unresponsive

OK, but a hang is different from a crash, and the new symptoms sound like a dupe of bug 1137454.

I had a look at the duplicate, and I don't think we need to track it for 46. 47 maybe though.
