Description
Long press On/Off button does not show options as Turn on airplane mode, Silence incoming calls, Restart, Power off

Steps to Reproduce
1) Turn on the device
2) Long press On/Off button to power off the device
3) Notice long press On/Off button does not show options as Turn on airplane mode, Silence incoming calls, Restart, Power off
4) Can't power off the phone.

Expected Results
Long press On/Off button should show options as Turn on airplane mode, Silence incoming calls, Restart, Power off

Actual Results
Long press On/Off button does not show options as Turn on airplane mode, Silence incoming calls, Restart, Power off


Other Notes
I noticed this issue sometime ago. I didn't file it because I thought it would be fixed by some future update but it hasn't and we are already in FXOS 3.0 so I thought it was time to report it.


Reproduction Frequency: 100% The only workaround I found to be able to power off the device is to take out the battery.

This doesn't happen with the Flame. Maybe it's Gonk is based on an Android which is too old?

_Atila_, do you know of any changes which could have caused this?

There have been no major changes for Gonk in this device. I'll bet for Gecko/Gaia bug instead. I don't have a Keon to test with, but I'll try to build and flash a debug image and see what the logcat says when the power button is pressed: adb logcat (with the phone plugged in to the PC).

Juan, many thanks for your interest! I'd like this bug to be fixed. Unfortunately I'm no thechie but if you'd like me to test or try something, I'll do my best providing you give me step by step instructions for me to follow. Thanks again!

Reporter - were you by any chance using an RTL language? There is bug 1121748 filed for the Flame for a similar issue. When the issue reproduces, does it show a blank menu?

The QA-Wanted team at QAnalysts don't have a Keon device therefore we're unable to confirm this issue nor finding a regression window.

   No, I found the bug using Spanish.

When the issue reproduces,

   No, simply nothing happens, the display continues showing the same thing.

I tested it on a Keon with 2.1 and 2.2 on a new installation without maintaining profile data and also occurs to me, I pressed power button and no sign of the menu for shutdown or reboot.

I also happen to even select the spanish language, continuing the phone in English, I do not know if it's related.
