Presumably we will be wanting a UITour for the reading list / reading mode feature when it launches (Firefox 38?). We'll need to meet with the relevant parties (product, marketing, webdev) to figure out what the tour should be, and what the in-product changes for it need to be.
Bryan: have you started to talk with folks about if we're doing this and what it might be?

I talked with Markus and Michael about this. Here's the notes I have, correct me where I'm wrong here. Use Reader Mode/Reading List to introduce the feature. • Open Firefox tab to a page like mozilla.org/firefox/reader/ • #1 UI Tour: encourage user to view in Reader Mode via the button • #2 UI Tour: encourage user to click “Add to Reading List” button •• reading list sidebar opened by default in reader mode • Reading List has default content •• “How To articles” (possibly taken from SUMO) ••• How to Add an Item ••• How to Remove an Item • #3 UI Tour: encourage user to sign into a Firefox Account possibly required designs will be: • Sidebar in Reader, as previously mentioned • Articles typeset in the Readermode — more or less double checking that the final output looks as good as it can in Readermode • Any doorhangers that we'll be using • The sign into Firefox Account page from Readermode?

Adding Joni to keep an eye on this bug. We chatted about using a SUMO article as some of the default content in the reading list. We might want to break out the default content work out into a separate bug instead of piling on this.

MattN/dolske: I heard you were in a meeting about this. Is this on someone's radar to breakdown? Asking because we need to figure out what strings are needed (see bug 1133673), and last I heard we were going to want tour balloons that would need to be done in-product for some things.

Yes, dolske and I are going to sort this out tomorrow. Tracker bug for tour dependencies is bug 1132951.
