Hello,
I'm also having this issue.
Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.1
Firefox 35.0.1
Everytime I try to open a Video URL I get the error message. Same URL works just fine in Safari and Chrome.
Happens for me too on Windows.
See the following attachment for how this clip got recorded.

Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview 64-bit (10.0, Build 9926)
Firefox Developer Edition 38.0a2 (2015-03-01)
Using ShareX I capture clips. These are the ffmpeg settings it uses. Video size is different than on the image.
Plays fine on Chrome 42, does not play (corrupt file) on Firefox Developer Edition 38.0a2 (2015-03-11).

Component: Audio/Video → Audio/Video: Playback
Video plays for me and has most likely been fixed. Re-open if there is still an issue.
