What feature should be changed? Please provide the URL of the feature if possible.
==================================================================================
The global search bar

What problems would this solve?
===============================
Confusion over web developers finding docs for APIs internal to firefox or not compatible with other browsers

Who would use this?
===================
The vast majority of users who come to MDN for Web API reference.

What would users see?
=====================
Same search results interface, but with less useful results filtered out

What would users do? What would happen as a result?
===================================================
Users looking for XUL/internals information can check a box in the results. Searches performed from a zone specific to a XUL/Mozilla perspective could return these results by default.

Is there anything else we should know?

What I think we ought to do here is to default searches to including only open Web materials, but have, underneath the search box, a little checkbox you can toggle to expand this to all content including Gecko specific, add-on, etc stuff.

This is another item that ideally would eventually become part of a user's MDN wiki preferences.
+1. Sheppy's proposed solution sounds fantastic. This will really improve the signal-to-noise ratio for the typical web developer.
