Edit > Preferences > Table Preferences: Delete key removes the entire cell -
only deletes the contents of the cell

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Launch Browser
2.Launch Composer
3.Pull-down Edit | Preferences
4.Goto Composer Category | Composer Prefs | Table Editing
5.Select "Pressing the Delete key should delete cell"
6.Click OK
7.Open new blank editor page
8.Enter a default table
9.In the beginning of each cell in the first row, type a number. (1 in the first
cell, 2 in the second cell..)
10.Select the the first cell and hit the Delete Key

Actual Results: The contents of the first cell are deleted, but the contents in
the second cell remain in the second cell

Expected Results: The contents of the first cell are deleted, and the contents
in the second cell should move over to the first cell

If you right click in the cell and goto table delete and choose Cell(s) the
contents of the selected cell are deleted, and the contents in the second cell
will move over to the deleted cell
Charles, preferences is nothing like described here, looks like we made some
recent changes. Could you give me a hand triaging?

The preference you talked about has been removed.
The behavior for the delete key is to always just remove content, not actual cell.
Use the command from Table or popup menu: Delete -> Cell(s) for that.
I support adding a key option, such as Ctrl/Cmd+Delete to do that from keyboard,
but others didn't want that.
