Build ID: 2001112903 cnn.com has some text ads (4) in the upper right corner that are shown as links on a reclight gray background. I've seen at least two variations on the incorrect rendering. On the main page, the text does not appear, and the rectangular background for each link is an incorrect size, almost appearing as lines. On another page, http://www.cnn.com/2001/WORLD/americas/11/30/american.airlines.incident/index.html the boxes appear to be the correct size, but still no links.
WFM in 2001113006/Linux. please attach the screenshot.
Note that the banner ad to the left of the crippled gray boxes is missing.
Note the banner ad to the left of the gray boxes.
It does work as expected with a previous build, 2001112603.
WFM, win98SE, 2001112903. N.B.: those links with grey backgrounds (along with the banner to the left of them) are being written dynamically by some rather hairy javascript, located in the file http://ar.atwola.com/file/adsWrapper.js, which I won't even pretend to understand, and which is client-sniffing in ways I can't cope with this late in the evening (it's 12:30 am in the UK about now, folks). Given that the problem appears to affect all four links _and_ the banner to the left, I'd like to ask 2 questions : 1) the dumb, blindingly obvious question : do those of you experiencing problems have javascript disabled? 2) the not so dumb question : are you masking/altering your user-agent string in any way?
This is either a dupe of bug 112740, or bug 112740 is a dupe of this one. I can confirm this problem on Win98 SE, Mozilla 0.9.6 Build ID: 200120403, ATI graphics adapter. Let's either confirm this one, or exile it to tech evangelism for the bad JavaScript.

The text links in the reclight gray background, and the long vertical ad image which is placed just below are now appearing in the 2001120808 build. However, the progress bar still never goes to 100% and the throbber still throbs. According to Naviscope, the browser is still "Waiting for a Response".
In the 2002010303 build (and perhaps earlier), we seem to have a regression in that the text links in the reclight gray background, and the long vertical ad image which is placed just below are now no longer being displayed.
Works fine using 2002012203 build on WINXP

Nope. It's still not working right. I just installed the 2002012503 build and if you pick links from the center panel, for instance the headline article, you will see that the text links in the reclight gray background, and the long vertical ad image which is placed just below are still not being correctly displayed. Compare to the same page in Netscape 4.75. I'm running on WinXP home edition.
