It would be good to write a gaia-ui test for this.

The bug doesn't occur always with the str, sometimes you need to do it a couple of times.

Supposedly bug 1120541, comment 17 you can reproduce it reliably.

Not sure if this can be reproduced on b2g desktop, perhaps you need a low memory condition to get this bug to occur.
