Steps to reproduce:

Tried to open attached files to incoming mails.
Thunderbird version : 31.4.0


Actual results:

Since the last updated version at mid-January, I have problem with incoming mails. Often but not always, attached files are empty. When I click on the file(s) Windows opens a window saying : this file is empty, firewall or antivirus can destroy attached files. Sometimes in a mail some files are empty and others not !!!
My antivirus is ESET NOD32.


Expected results:

All attached files to mails should be openable.

I cannot confirm this for TB91. It works for me. If this is still an issue for you, please open a new bug with more details about the failing attachments.
