From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:0.9.6+) Gecko/20011129 BuildID: 2001112903 crashes if try to save or send mail message with many bcc entries; a test message with 3 bcc entries worked, but every time I tried to bcc a message to many people, e.g. those on one of my mailing lists, Mozilla immediately and totally crashes Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. create an e-mail message 2. address it to many bcc entries (don't know how many is threshold; 3 was okay, but not a message with many bcc entries) 3. try to save or send the message Actual Results: total and immediate crash Expected Results: save or send message successfully without crashing OS: Windows NT 4.0 SP6a

A friend of mine found sort of a work around, I don't know if it works all the time. After composing the message just File->Send Later then go to Local Folders->Unsent Messages and File->Sent Unsent Messages.

Marking this worksforme, since Talkback data doesn't show this crash anywhere after MozillaTrunk build 2001120512 and people can't reproduce with recent builds.

Sorry, I didn't catch what the Talkback ID was. The builds for 2002-01-10, 2002-01-09, and 2002-01-07 had this problem on my machine, but the 2002-01-04 build worked, as did 0.9.7.

Not sure how we should proceed. Should this remain open or is there a bug already out there for this stack?
reassigning to ducarroz. Jean-Francois, could you investigate in Varada's absence?

ccin'g hewitt and hyatt in case they know anything about this stack trace...
I am not able to reproduce this problem using either a Recent Netscape build or a Mozilla debug build from yesterday. I was able to sent several message with between 16 and 26 bcc recepient. I tried with recycled compose window on and off. WFM

All, see bug 108922, which has the same stack that I pasted in http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113105#c18 and which seems to be different from this bug...
good catch. THe initial problem has been fixed but the second problem is a dup of bug 108922.

oops, closing again as WFM as the original problem doesn not occurs anymore and as the secondary on is already covered by another bug.
