There are various javascript (browser identified as ns4 and ns4 specific
javascript is generated) and rendering issues at this site that render total
interaction (e.g online banking) impossible

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Example 1:
1) go to http://www.caixacatalunya.com/caixacat/cat/ccpublic/particulars/default.htm
2) try to click on a javascript link at top right ("Particular", "Contactar",
"Idioma" i.e: "Private customer", "Contact", "Language")
3) nothing happens

Example 2
1) go to same page

2) try to open an account: click on the red link "fes-te client" ("become a
client") at right
3) on the new windows that opens (btw notice how badly it is rendered) select
the option "encara no sóc client" ("I'm not a customer yet").
4) click on "continuar" ("continue") and nothing happens 

Actual Results:  Nothing happens

Expected Results:  New page should open

If you check the URL of the pop-up window (right click->view page info) you can
see that it seems to be a page generated for netscape 4:

Another Catalan bank blocks Mozilla accès to one of its services; I don't know
if I should open a new bug, but as its probably an evangelism thing, I guess it
will be handled by the same person.

The page is La Caixa's ( http://www.lacaixa.es ) online ticket sale:

The page redirects asking for NS4+ or Explorer...

Confirming wiht Moz 098 on Win2000. It also takes 100% CPU (maybe the flash
animation does this)

This continues happening; the menus don't work. Other browsers (like Konqueror)
behave differently. Is this really a 'Tech Evangelism' issue? 

BTW, to comment #1: 'la Caixa' works ok now, I use it frequently.

   To comment 5: There is an english version, so they can be contacted in
English too. Check the new 'URL' field.


   I have spotted an error: on 'Products and services' / 'Current accounts' the
page opens white. Debugging the source there is the code (line 15):
intForms = document.forms.length;

   This returns 0, just because the script is in the HEAD tag, before the BODY
and the actual FORM. If it is placed after the forms, intForms=2 (that's the
correct behaviour).
   I have filed bug 209453 for that; it may be a duplicate...

It looks like that they have modified the page and now it is working with
Firefox 1.0.

Not really. For example select the "Caixa catalunya on-line" on the left, then
"demo version" in the center frame. Click "enter" on the pop-up windows and
you'll see "Para operar, seleccione una opción del menú de la izquierda"
("Select an option in the left menu", funny that's in spanish even if I selected
the english version for this comment). The only problem is that the menu is not
visible in firefox 1.0.
I also suspect that the left menu on the main page is still not correct: when
the page starts loaing a triangle appears to the left of some entries, and the
it disappears.

btw, the "fes-te client" button mentioned in example 2 of my original bug report
now opens a completely blank frame (firefox1.0/linux).

I have confirmed the example 2 with Firefox 1.07 on Windows as explained by Luca Olivetti. However I can open the "Create account" by other way: click "Que vol fer?" ("What do you want to do?") in the left and top, and then click "Vull fer-me client" ("I want to became client"). So maybe the problem is with the way they invoke this page.

Also I have found than the contact form (press "Contactar" top/right, and "Contacte" in the second row) doesn't work also.

I have send a complain to this bank as a possible new client, asking if they support Firefox for using their services.

They responded they sorry, but I must to use IE to work with them. They admit to have different incompatibilities with Firefox.
