Recent regression (within the last 10 days I think) - when you tap on a playing video to show the controls, it works the very first time - after that, while the fade animation plays, the video also becomes completely transparent, reappearing after the animation finishes.

STR:

1- Load YouTube app and navigate to any video
2- Play video
3- Tap to show controls
4- Tap to hide controls

Expected:

Video plays, controls fade in, controls fade out. Video remains opaque and continues to play.

Actual:

Video plays, controls fade in, controls fade out. While controls fade out, video disappears (but audio remains), video reappears after controls finish fading out. Video will now disappear on every subsequent control fade animation.

More oddly, if you then tap the home button, then go back to the app from the task manager, the controls fade in and out correctly from now on. Navigating to a new video after this point reproduces the initial error.

STR are quite straight-forward, so it'd be good to get a regression window.
Hi Reporter,

Could you please tell me what is your device and build when you found this bug?

Hi Reporter,

I can repro this bug on Flame v2.0 (the earliest build and latest build) and latest Woodduck v2.0, but can't repro this bug on latest Flame v2.1&2.2&3.0.
And it seems having a little different steps and results by the following steps. Could you help to confirm the results?

Thank you very much.

See attachments: verify_v2.0.MP4,logcat_v2.0_1239.txt,and verify_woodduck.png
Reproduce rate: 5/5

Repro STR:
1.Download Youtube app from Marketplace and open Youtube app.(Or open "www.youtube.com").
2.Play a video.
3.Tap to show controls while video is loading and the video screen displays grey, that the video doesn't play and will be played after loading completely.
**Video plays, but the black rectangular areas cover part of the playing video screen. --KO
4.Tap to hide controls.
**Video plays, but the black rectangular areas cover part of the playing video screen. --KO

I think this was actually one of the recent graphics regressions, as I no longer see it after applying the various fixes that are available (see bug 1134202) - If we're still patching v2.0, perhaps it's worth filing a bug about what you were seeing there?
