User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0
Build ID: 20150122214805
Steps to reproduce:
Logging in to my Amazon account failed - error message tells me to enable cookies. But cookies are enabled.
Privacy - accept third part cookies always
keep until expire
Cleared all amazon cookies and tried again, and again.....
Using Firefox v35 Portable. Reinstalled from scratch this morning because of a different problem.
Actual results:
Same problem - I get a message telling me to enable cookies.
Works perfectly in Chrome so presumably not a problem at Amazon.
Expected results:
Login to my account

works for me with FIrefox35 on WIndows7
Do you get the same issue with a normal Firefox installation because we do not support the portable version ?

I don't have a 'normal' installation - I only use Portable. I run Windows8.

I have no idea what it could be because it works for me and i didn't see other users with the same issue.
I've no idea either. Fortunately every other browser I've tried works without any problem.
Tried to test with v36 installed. But v36 won't start up - I get an error message about user profile, on Win7 and Win8.1
Same situation with v36 portable as with v35 with Portable version - works on Win7, gives 'cookies' error on Win8.1
This bug is biting me on Nightly 43.0a1 (2015-09-18) -- cookies enabled for http://amazon.com and https://amazon.com. This is really strange because I had actually placed an order, then immediately cancelled it to change the billing info. Trying to place the order now gives this error...
Strangely, logged out/in, and everything is OK again.

I've tried to reproduce this issue on Windows 8.1 x64. None of the following versions had any problems with logging in on amazon: latest release(42.0), latest Nightly(45.0a1), release 35.0, Nightly 43.0a1. Every time I logged in, logged out, add or remove items form the cart Firefox worked perfectly. Didn't had the cookie issue. You can try to reproduce this on the latest release and latest Nightly, with a new clean Firefox profile, safe mode, add-ons disabled, and if the issue appears again, please provide the necessary steps to reproduce.

Happy to resolve. Seemed to be an issue with my Amazon password. When I reset that everything worked OK. So either Amazon or Firefox was presumably mis-reporting the error. No recurrence since.
