Issue DOES occur on Flame 2.0, 2.1, and 3.0 In 2.1 and 3.0 the characters (, ), /, -, _, :, ., ;, #, and + can be used on a phone field in contacts. In 2.0 only the characters *, #, -, +, (, and ) can be used on a phone field in contacts. +, # and * are international delimiters. (, ) and - are legit at least in the US. / is in Germany . is okay in France I couldn't find a spec for _, :, and ; but I tried the 3 of them and I'm not able to make a phone call if I use them the same way I use the - delimiter. Doug, are you aware of a specification for these last 3 symbols?

I think we shall block the alphabets but allow the symbols if some of them are used in some countries, but do we have any list which describes all of these rules? I'd like to have more related information to make decision.
