Firefox 30.0 For a long time I've been intermittently experiencing issues where various elements on commonly visited pages don't load, be it scripts, css, or images. When it's an image, right-clicking and selecting "View image" results in Firefox's 404 page. When it's a script the page functionality is commonly broken, and on internal intranet apps it wreaks havoc with company applications. Reload never fixes it and SHIFT+Reload always fixes it. After some investigating with Wireshark I discovered that the issue arises sometimes when the server sends a 304 - NOT MODIFIED. For whatever reason Firefox sometimes interprets this as a 404 and the content isn't loaded.
I know this bug from older an Firefox version (unknown which one) but Firefox 30 is no longer supported and we have a complete new cache backend since FIrefox30. Please test again with a supported version.

Unfortunately there's no way to get the security updates without a tin of super-annoying UI and functionality changes, do that's not going to happen.
I use Seamonkey :-) Have you tried https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/ ?
