User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0 Build ID: 20150122214805 Steps to reproduce: My native language is Polish. When I start writing in English, the spell checker automatically sets the language to English. When I resume writing in Polish, the spell checker doesn't set the language back to Polish. Right-clicking and manually setting the language to Polish doesn't work the first time, I have to right-click and re-set the language once again for it to take effect. Actual results: Firefox's spell check doesn't revert the language from English to Polish, neither automatically or manually. Expected results: Language should change automatically both ways.

The spelling checker switches afaik only if you encounter a page with a @lang attribute (bug 338427). There is no automatic switching based on the words you type PS: The General component is in general wrong and untriaged was already the right one.
Component: General → Spelling checker
Product: Firefox → Core
Thank you, change to untriaged. Maybe this will give more information about the problem: I was writing on Facebook with my friend in English and the spelling checker was set to English. I changed the chat window to a Polish friend and had to set the language manually to Polish. Changed once again to the English-speaking friend window and had to re-set the language manually to English. It looks like the spelling checker does not save settings for different text boxes, at least when it comes to Facebook chat windows. I didn't have a chance to check it in a different setting. The second problem is that changing the dictionary manually to a different language doesn't always work and I often have to do it twice.
