Crash Data
This bug was filed from the Socorro interface and is
report bp-bae13a97-c583-40e6-8657-58f722150213.
=============================================================
Got this crash on old AMD graphics drivers first[1], so I updated to the latest stable ones (14.501.1003-141120a-177998C). Though it didn't help. Just the address changed from 0x46993a to 0x50988a.
It happened on bahn.de when searching for a train connection and selecting the first one.

Component: Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) → Graphics
Bas,
Crash deep inside drivers coming via Direct2D. Have Jeff and you been looking at crashes with ATI drivers? Is this a dupe?

Hrm, I've never seen something like this before. It also appears to me that this is indeed does seem like an actual driver bug somehow, considering it's a write access violation. However at the same time if that were the case it would be surprising that it has existed for so many version. We'd need some sort of reproducible scenario to begin looking into this. It doesn't appear too many people are suffering from this or we'd likely have heard about it before.

Here's some additional information:
It crashed again right now when visiting the aforementioned website, though this time with another (seemingly unrelated) signature:
https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/648e1762-7d59-4972-92bb-8a4ee2150216 (bug 999427)
Also I tried this on a fresh Firefox profile now (only changed proxy settings after visiting the website) and got the crash again:
https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/871323b3-f3d1-4af6-afb7-85eb12150216
The only thing I did was to go to bahn.de and scrolling up and down on that page.
Also one time I got another crash (with another signature) after a few minutes:
https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/b8147212-a779-4022-8717-19a3d2150216
Furthermore I tested it on a 32-bit system with another ATI graphics card and it did *not* crash there.

I am closing this bug report as we've had no reports since June 22, 2016. Please reopen this bug report if you can reproduce the crash in a current Firefox version with all OS & driver updates installed.

I've tried it right now again using Firefox 48.0.2 and couldn't reproduce it anymore (though meanwhile the website bahn.de also changed), so it's ok you closed it.
