A user in the support forums at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1046962 reported a translation mistake on the mozilla.org firefox download page, where it says "Hlaða niðu Firefox" instead of the apparently correct phrase "Hlaða niður Firefox".
Can you/they be any more specific about the page? The only string I can find that's close to that is this, and it's been around for a couple of years: ;Download Firefox Hala niður Firefox : https://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc/projects/mozilla.com/trunk/locales/is/download_button.lang?revision=133290&view=markup#l1 : https://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc/projects/mozilla.com/trunk/locales/is/download_button.lang?r1=114196&r2=114197&
i think i interpreted their question wrong - it might not be at mozilla.org but in the installer: http://transvision.mozfr.org/?sourcelocale=is&locale=en-US&repo=release&search_type=entities&recherche=browser/installer/nsisstrings.properties:DOWNLOADING_LABEL
Even then, the first word is "Hala", so I'm still confused.
I took a look at it and yes the installer has a typo it should be "Hala niður", the user seems to have noted it down incorrectly as "Hlaða niðu" since "Hlaða" and "Hala" are somewhat equivalent words. I fixed this in locamotion: http://mozilla.locamotion.org/is/firefox/translate/browser/installer/nsisstrings.properties.po#unit=7201228
