Steps to reproduce:

Can send via online Yahoo webmail, but can not send via updated Thunderbird.


Actual results:

Login to server smtp.att.yahoo.com failed.


Expected results:

Mail should have gone out, as it has for years.
Google search for "yahoo.com smtp settings", and a hit document.

Yahoo! has many fqdn for many servers, but standard one in Yahoo! Help looks different from your setting.
Do you correctly sets as guided by Yahoo! or mail service company?
