Need a caching rule set for the Wowza Streaming Engine to connect properly to Edgecast. Description of the correct rule set is in Edgecast docs at the URL.

This may require updating the account to include the rules engine.

ASAP. It's blocking AirMo infrastructure changes that will help us eliminate dependence on Flash.

Thanks for the documentation link. This looks easy to do.

Unfortunately, it requires the Rules Engine in Edgecast. This is functionality we don't currently have on our account. I'm certain we used to be able to do this, but looking through past bills I haven't found it listed anywhere, so I don't know what's up. :schan has contacted Edgecast... hopefully it's something we can get added and turned on quickly. My guess though is that they'll want a contract addendum and some money, which will make this drag out anywhere from a few days to a month. :(

If you have time, you might want to search around to see if it's doable to use Cloudfront as a CDN for a Wowza stream.

Stephanie was able to get the Rules Engine added to our account, so I'll have a crack at this.

Richard,

I've added the rules to Edgecast, however they will need to be approved (website says it takes up to 4 hours)

For reference, here is the rule set :

I'll close this out once that's done.

I'm sure there's a way to use CloudFront. Would you prefer we move AirMo live streams to Cloudfront?
If we're going to make that move anyway, making the switch as we start using Wowza makes sense.

I'll let Jake answer the needinfo, but the rules are now live on Edgecast and not blocking Airmo infrastructure changes.

Nah, Edgecast is fine... a bit cheaper, too. I thought it would take much longer to get the Rules Engine turned on.
