User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:37.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/37.0 Build ID: 20150218005013 Steps to reproduce: "mozregression --good 2014-10-13 --bad 2015-02-16" (64bit) and "mozregression --bits 32 --good 2013-10-13" both yield a firefox instance with black content window. Using the inspector, I can see that the HTML is there (downloaded and parsed) but no content is shown. Since I've tried to very different builds, I think this could be setting by mozregression.

Hmm, that's certainly not the behaviour we're seeing. :) What does the URL bar say the location is? If you navigate to some url like yahoo.com, what do you see?

It always black. Doesn't matter what URL. I've tried a few mozilla sites, codepen.io and dr.dk. Can it be a conflict with the profile for Firefox Developer Edition?

(In reply to dotnetCarpenter from comment #2) > It always black. Doesn't matter what URL. I've tried a few mozilla sites, > codepen.io and dr.dk. Can it be a conflict with the profile for Firefox > Developer Edition? mozregression uses its own profile, so it shouldn't. Could you try downloading and running a standalone nightly from http://nightly.mozilla.org/ ? If that works out of the box, then there is indeed likely something wrong with the profile we're creating in mozregression.

When installing the nightly I get a warning about Firefox already running. At this point, I have Firefox 35.0.1 (released) and Firefox Developer Edition running.

After killing the processes for both Firefox 35.0.1 and Firefox Developer Edition, the nightly runs flawlessly.

I've uploaded two screen shots from when I install the nightly and when it is running. It works out of the box but only after I have killed the already running processes Running "mozregression --bits 32 --good 2014-10-13 --bad 2015-02-16" yield the last screen shot: "nightly_mozregression.png".

Killing all firefox processes and retry with mozregression yield the same result. Only the "new tab" window shows anything.

Just use mozregression on ubuntu 14.10 on the same machine, without any issues.
OS: All → Windows 7
Hardware: All → x86_64

Hm, is this the case for multiple builds ? It may be a firefox issue that was fixed.

This issue is quite old and probably not actionable.
