User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0 Build ID: 20150219030204 Steps to reproduce: after a ~1 hour session, where I open and close ~150 tabs, closing of tabs becomes very sluggish. Actual results: There is a noticable pause between clicking the tab close button, and the tab actually closing. The browser is irresponsive during the period. In a pure subjective term, the pauses last around 1-1.2 seconds. Been seeing this for atleast a month. Expected results: no delay The only solution is to restart teh browser.

Better profile with more sluggishness
It looks like the biggest chunk of time there in the profile in comment 1 is in NukeCrossCompartmentWrappers, which sounds a little like bug 989816, though I think that's about opening tabs and not closing them. I'm not sure if we have a bug about that for tab closing.
cant repro anymore, specially with e10s.
