I tried with German SeaMonkey 2.32.1 Build 20150204202218 on German WIN7 64bit and existing newsletter emails from <newsletter@stiftung-warentest.de> When I show an e-mail, 1. message for "has blocked remote content" appears. 2. Click hyperlink "always load remote contents" in message field » Address book with checked "allow" checkbox will be created 3. [ok] for new contact 4. Click an other Newsletter email from that sender Expected: remote content (pictures ...) shown without message Actual: again message "has blocked remote content" I tested in Address Book, contact entry with checked "allow" does exist. I read about this problem at de.comm.software.mozilla.browser in an e-mail from Tanja Denne (2015-02-20 09:11) Seems to be a new issue.
The problem is not related to newly assigned clearances.
Probably a DUP or Dependency on: Bug 995737 - Adapt seamonkey for the addressbook remote content policy change; use the permission manager instead of address book property
I can confirm this bug. He should be removed immediately as it is very annoying and so reduces the acceptance of Seamonkey.
Problem still exists, and it is VERY annoying :-(

Yep, it is back again in v2.39 for others and me. :(
Also postet comment in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1223741 Worked fine until v 2.39, and for years at that. Creating Remote Content group in Address Book years ago, then 2.39 upgrade and it does not hold. Have to recheck Allow Remote Content every mail message. Very frustrating.
Should be fixed by now. If so please close.

No longer reproducible with Server-Installation of unofficial (by FRG) en-US SeaMonkey 2.50a1 (NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:53.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/53.0 Build 20161127221846 (Default Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit.
