As part of Firefox Developer Edition, we will be showing a warning on HTTP pages with password fields.  We will use the same key icon that the Password Manager uses, but with a strike through.  There are various states of this key icon (one in grey, one in blue, one in white with a blue background), so we'd need a strike through version for each of these.

At the risk of repeating what I've said on similar threads, HTTPS IS NOT A PROPER METHOD OF PASSWORD PROTECTION, and its use in this role should not be encouraged.  

Reason is that the password is automatically decrypted on arrival at the host side, leaving it open to harvesting by any hacker who is able to compromise the server.
