Details

STR:
1. Go to https://wiki.mozilla.org/Buddyup

Expected:
Get redirected or suggested https://wiki.mozilla.org/BuddyUp

Actual:
"We don't know about this page"

It would great if URLs could be case insensitive. If this is not possible, a suggestion or a search on this page would be good.
Thanks for reporting.

The case sensitivity of urls (e.g. that Buddyup and BuddyUp are two different articles) is expected mediawiki behavior. Attempting to change it would be time consuming and likely have negative consequences.

The best way to make articles with possibly confusing titles more findable is to add a redirect with: #REDIRECT [[Page_name]].

I've done that here:
https://wiki.mozilla.org/index.php?title=Buddyup&redirect=no

To match the redirect that already existed on /BuddyUp.

We'll work on making the noarticletext content more user-friendly. I've started here:
https://wiki-dev.allizom.org/MediaWiki:Noarticletext

I don't know of a way add 'suggested articles' to that text, but we'll keep looking.
Well, I do wonder why you would go to a bad URL directly, but adding redirects is very simple, as Christie demonstrated.

As for suggestions, improving search (bug 915187) will bring with it improved suggestions (including "did you mean ...?") when searching for something that doesn't quite exist.
Depends on: 915187
