Currently chatzilla is a component of navigator, however I think it should get
its own separate product in bugzilla for the following reasons:
1) It's not obvious that chatzilla is listed in bugzilla because it is not a
browser so why should it be there? Moving it to a separate product will make it
easier to find.
2) It increases the bug count for the browser (some people like listing bug
counts despite the fact it's a terrible way of measuring the quality of a product)
3) Chatzilla has its own versioning system (e.g. chatzilla 0.8.5 is the latest
release)
4) If/when chatzilla gets more complex and there's features such as logging, dcc
file transfer, etc then bugzilla can have different components for each part
which may be assigned to different people.

I don't think this is a good idea at all. It would confuse people who are used
to reporting bugs, in favor of people who aren't. Would you argue that
everything that is not navigator be taken out of the browser product? Mailnews?
Address book?
Let's just leave well enough alone, there are bigger fish to fry.
wontfix for now. There is a bug to rearrange browser and xpapps and stuff, so
after we do that (which iirc requires bugzilla's cross product support to
improve), if chatzilla and xpapps (or whatever product chatzilla lives in at
that time) are interested in splitting then we'll reconsider.
