Details

(Whiteboard: [dupeme])

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0
Build ID: 20150125222008

Steps to reproduce:

- Start Thunderbird
- Login
- Disconnect your network. This is the difficult part to reproduce. The way this usually happens for me is I'm in a meeting using WiFi and logged on with a VPN. I walk back to my office, disconnect the VPN, then WiFi. I then physically connect my network cable.
- Create a message
- Try to send. Thunderbird will complain that it cannot sent a message. The only two options are to re-try and cancel. Re-trying won't work, so I cancel.

Actual results:

Cancelling causes the message to close and I lose it.

Expected results:

The message should remain. I can then fix any network issues and try re-sending the message.
