1138014 - Some mail can't be converted to Event/Task on Mac

Attachment: There are two mails: one can convert to Event; another can't.

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_10_2) AppleWebKit/600.3.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/8.0.3 Safari/600.3.18

Steps to reproduce:

In "Inbox - Local Folder" view, right click the mail; on the popup menu, select "Convert to -> Event"


Actual results:

nothing


Expected results:

The "New Event" Dialog should be show.

chenxh, your attached emails didn't contain the body which is relevant for analysis. Can you please attach the complete emails?

Merike, is this a (another) localization problem?

This looks like a dupe of bug 1049443. While the OS locale is zh-CN Thunderbird's is probably zh-TW. And zh-TW has a localization error (| at the end of from.hour pattern) that is fixed in the release branch of localizations. Unfortunately this fix was not signed off on localization dashboard so Lightning's release version has old erroneus strings.

Definitely a dupe if you add conversion button to message toolbar and try converting by choosing a specific locale other than zh-TW from it and it works with affected emails.

The mail which I attached is complete mail. (I create empty mails to reproduct this issue. )
