Thunderbird Daily 39.0a1 and Aurora 38.0a2 20150302 on Windows 8.1

Fix broken search engines including favicons in localized builds.

E.g.
- the German builds have a Twitter search engine with an icon bigger than normal
- the German Twitter search doesn't work
- There are search engines set as default, but the files are missing: https://l10n.mozilla-community.org/~flod/p12n/errors/?channel=aurora&product=mail
- raw search engine data in https://l10n.mozilla-community.org/~flod/p12n/searchplugins.json (2 MB)
- search engines should be upgraded to https

jorgk: I think you opened a new bug recently about updating TB search defaults? This is probably a duplicate of that.

I'm not sure what you're referring to.
Search engines: Bug 1309717 and predecessor bug 1300199.
Icons: Bug 1273438 comment #9 (in a somewhat unrelated bug).

Perhaps Richard knows more.

I don't know but maybe aleth is referring to bug 1309717. This one has something to do with the search engines on localized builds.

This should be fixed by bug 1544013.
