Steps to reproduce:

the light sensor is not working and adjusting the screen brightness.

1.) turn on the auto adjust setting for the screen brightness
2.) cover up the light sensor and see if it adjusts


Actual results:

nothing happens, the sensor does not detect and the screen does not adjust


Expected results:

the screen brightness should fluctuate in accordance with the light sensor.

I found that when the brightness is adjusted first, then nothing happens.  Without adjusting, then it seems to work for me.  Also to note, if you reboot the device, the sensor seems to work.

STR: 
1. play with the brightness 
2. turn on the auto adjust setting for the screen brightness
3. cover the light sensor
