Description:
Flame device does not support wav files (but should according to documentation). If you download a wav from browser or email it will not play. It will however play through the browser if played from the website.
In 3.0, the email app recognizes the wav file and offers the Download icon, but gives the error message after DL is complete. In prior versions the email app does not even offer the Download icon for wav files.
Repro Steps:
1) Update a Flame to 20150305010212
2) Email a Wav file to yourself
3) Launch Email app and download it
4) Click on notification once download is complete
Actual:
"Unable to open" error message is encountered
Expected:
Music app will open and play the wav file

ni?ing hema for more info. Hema, do we actually support wav file playback on the music app for 2.2 and before? I thought we didn't. If we are supporting it for 3.0? then we can nominate it for 3.0.

WAV is not supported in the music app because it was not considered a priority from product front (it is supported in gecko and I think it is enabled on the device storage side too). See bug and dependencies here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=873389
