There is a significant limitation in the curren mail composition interface:
There is no (obvious) way to send an email containing the contents of
an external file as the main message body. You can add files as attachments,
but you can't import them into the main body (the main composition window).
[or if there is a way, I can't find it].
For example, I don't think you can send HTML message composed with
an external HTML creation tool.
Similarly, you can't send a plain-text, no-attachment email using text
from a file (you can cut and paste, but in general there is no way to
select the entire contents of an external file using traditional
unix programs, so this isn't a satisfactory solution).
This means mozilla will not suffice as the sole MUA for many users.
IMO that is a serious limitation which merits early attention
(as soon as the 1.0 bugs are fixed...).
Suggested solution:
Implement a
Insert->From file...
feature (active immediately). This would read an external file
into the main message body, either as plain text or HTML
