As the number of the Arab world Mozilla localizers is growing and the projects and localization requests are more (Firefox OS launches in the Middle East and North Africa is one of the reasons) getting our l10n people together in one place is becoming harder and most of the time our announcements to the community gets lost within other threads on the arab world mailing list or (in most cases) announcements and calls for localization are made in once place (e.g. facebook groups) but not another so each time there are people who miss those calls.
Because of all that, I'm requesting opening a new public mailing list called mozilla.dev.l10n.ar for the Arab world in which we can group all of our l10n people and keep them up to date of what projects are going on or in need for localization at the moment.

Please let me know if I need to provide any other details.
Thanks!
Hello - this is delphine speaking, l10n-driver. I'd just like to vouch for this and confirm this is indeed an urgent need for localizers in Arabic community.
As has been announced at MWC, Arabic-speaking countries are a BIG target for us, and we need to be fully prepared. The number of material that needs to be translated for the launches is increasing at full speed, and we need a way to ensure all this is communicated effectively to all members of Mozilla Arabic Communities. This will also facilitate direct connection between fxOS l10n drivers and l10n Arabic community, saving us precious time this way
This is an urgent request, hope this can be set up asap :) thanks!
Not sure who to add from Service Desk here to speed up the process, so randomly adding people I know... sorry for the noise!
Severity: normal → critical
Due Date: 2015-03-13
Priority: -- → P1
So is the request hear to create the following mailing list: mozilla.dev.l10n.ar@mozilla.org ?
