User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0 Build ID: 20150306140254 Steps to reproduce: when I visit say CNN or any site with ads (dont they all?) I get an Apache style Authentication Required message A username and password are being requested by http://widgets.outbrain.com. The site says: "documentroot" Actual results: I click cancel, but next ad appears asking for Authentication and so it goes Expected results: no Authentication Required
What are your proxy settings, and do you have extensions installed? Does it happen in safe mode (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode)? If it does not, please try disabling extensions (e.g., the first half, then the second half; then re-enable half of the half with the problem, etc) to see if any of them is the cause.
