i need to change the outgoing mailserver becouse i have different mail provider.
My Problem:
I have two mailadress yxz@gmx.net and yxz@bluewin.ch. My outgoing Mailserver are
mail.gmx.net and mail.bluewin.ch. The default mailserver is mail.gmx.ch. Now
when i send a message from yxz@gmx.net it works very well. but when i send a
message from yxz@bluewin.ch then use mozilla the default mailserver and this is
not allowed. The Server respone the follow errormessage:
Only regisrated user are allowed to use this system

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Write a mail from the first adresse -> it works !
2.Write a mail from the second adresse -> It fails becouse its the wrong mail server
Summary: i need to change the outgoing mailserver becouse i have different mail provider → i need to switch the outgoing mailserver becouse i have different mail provider
Why is this an enhancement ?
And where is the problem ?
Change the server for your second account and it should work.

Umm, Matti, where exactly do you set SMTP server on a per-account-basis?
Couldn't find anything like it. Maybe I'm blind. Don't think so, though. Sure
you can have several SMTP servers but shouldn't you be able to select one to
always be used with one account? Thingie?

Patrick, as a workaround, try finding a slightly more liberal SMTP server which
would allow you to set the From: field to anything you like.
Edit\Mail&News Account settings\\outgoing server (smtp)\Advanced\Add
Edit\Mail&News Account settings\Account\Advanced\select outgoing SMTP server
OK. Not the easiest to find IMHO - shouldn't it be under Server Settings or
something?
Change summary to "Make setting SMTP server on a per-account-basis more
userfriendly" or whatever?
Btw, if setting the outgoing mailserver is the only thing under "advanced", why
is it under "advanced"? If the user added an SMTP server, they have already done
_something_ from an advanced thing, so selecting SMTP server should be possible
to do directly from account settings or server settings IMHO.
assigning to jglick. This is a UI design bug.
