Steps to reproduce:

I have about a dozen tabs opened in each of two e10s windows and sometimes they've all crashed when I've attempted to close a tab during a freeze (refer to bug #1141911 for more on the freeze).


Actual results:

The tabs are blank and I have to cycle through each tab in the window to find the tab that has the actual restore message.

Bad news first: This tab has crashed

Now for the good news: You can just close this tab, restore it or restore all your crashed tabs.
Submit a crash report to help prevent more bad news




Expected results:

All tabs that crash should have a message that they crashed. In my case it appears all tabs crash therefore all should have a message.

I was going to check if this happened with older builds around the time of the reported bug. However, my STR's (see bug 1152023) don't work in builds from that time.

Ray, can you reproduce this with the latest Nightly build using those steps?  It is works for me, as all tabs get the "This tab has crashed" UI.

I've been using recent Nightlies over the last month and I don't recall having the same issue recently, however that's because Firefox hasn't crashed often. Instead of outright crashes now bug #1133928 is occurring more often. I have a hunch that most of the bug reports I've filed have something to do with to the plugin-container interaction with Nightly. I killed plugin-container just now to see what would happen and of the 80 or so tabs I have spread over 4 e10s windows I get the 'tab has crashed' warning in every tab. I'll close this for now as WORKSFORME and if I notice it again I'll reopen.
